Overview

Song Studio is a song-learning application. This policy explains what data the app uses, what stays on your device, and what is not collected by us.

Data Stored on Your Device

  • Song projects: imported songs, separated stems, phrase metadata, key settings, and progress state
  • Practice recordings: takes you record while practicing a song
  • Practice settings: reminder preferences, onboarding selections, and app settings
  • Practice statistics: local session timing, streak counts, and progress summaries

This data is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain a user account system in the app today.

Microphone Access

The app requests microphone access so you can practice and record song phrases, and so the app can analyze sung pitch during practice. Microphone audio used in the core practice flow is processed on your device for playback, recording, and pitch feedback.

Imported Audio

When you import a song into Song Studio, the audio file and generated practice assets are stored locally on your device as part of your song project. Song Studio does not bundle commercial song recordings inside the app for practice. You are responsible for importing audio you have the right to use.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, the app stores your local notification preference and schedules reminders on your device. We do not operate a remote push notification service for this feature today.

Analytics

Song Studio stores limited product analytics events so we can understand app activation, onboarding completion, import starts, paywall views, and other product funnel steps. These events are sent to and stored on our first-party infrastructure. We do not currently use a third-party mobile analytics SDK in the app.

Crash Diagnostics

If crash reporting is enabled in the app build you are using, limited diagnostic error events may be sent to our first-party infrastructure to help us find and fix failures. These reports may include error messages, stack traces, timestamps, and lightweight technical context about where the failure happened.
